There is an amazing thing about RTV’s. They are made for anyone...over a certain age (sorry kids) to drive. Kubota makes a fine small version of the RTV in its 500 series class. This little brother to the RTV900 may not have the room capacity of its big bro, but it definitely does not “spin” out on doing its share of the work. This smaller RTV is made for doing the little jobs and still able to get around in the most quagmire of situations. It is a dependable little vehicle for the farmer or his family to get around the property and distribute to the needs of the day. Well like its country bigger cousin this series also comes in 2 color options...bright orange and camouflage. The orange makes it stand out for easy locating and safety issues on the job, while the camper or hunter has the camouflage option to maintain his position of obscurity. The bed is made to handle up to 440 lps of debris, gravel, dirt or anything that can go back there. It has a manual lift to allow for easy disposal of what is in the bed...and keeping you from having to shovel it all out. The Roll Over Protection System (ROPS) on this little guy is made as an OSHA approved standard frame design and allows for added safety in extreme situations. The 500 is a little shorter then its 900 series counter at a respectable 105.9 inches. This is plenty of length to move what needs moved. Its compactness makes it a perfect fit into a bigger truck for hauling to a work site. This has a liquid-cooled gasoline engine and burns an economical amount of fuel to keep emissions down and gas costs as well. The front guard is an option that makes for strong impact resistance and a framework for accessories. The suspension is a smooth ride with a semi –independent design to keep the bounce off the passenger and body and put it to the wheels and understructure. Although it is compact, there is still plenty of legroom for the operator with a lowered platform, which also adds ease of access. This little machine may be small, but it delivers where it counts.
